SmartMail™ – Version 7.3 is released!

SmartPeople SmartMail version 7.3 is released, now we can offer you the new generation of modern push mail in the same line of the best-of-breed product that was based on the earlier versions.

  • Multi device usage
    The user can have multiple devices synchronizing with the same mailbox.
  • Multiple folders
    All folders in the user's mailbox can be synchronized. The folders to synchronize can be freely chosen (apart from the inbox, which is always synchronized).
  • Extended contact application
    The user's own contacts as well as contacts from GAL can be used. All the details of the contacts can be viewed on the device.
  • Battery management
    The user can set the client to stop synchronizing at low battery level to save power.
  • Operating hours
    The user can set operating hours for weekdays and weekends (when to synchronize).
  • Roaming awareness
    There is an option not to push when roaming (to ensure low roaming data transfer costs).
  • Signature support
    A signature to use for emails sent from the device can be set. The signature can be controlled in client and connector.
  • Email priority flags
    Priority flags for the emails are supported.
  • Forward /reply icons
    Forward / reply icons in clients to indicate actions.
  • Enhanced provisioning
    No activation code is used. User authentication at registration (domain account credentials needed).
  • Administrator settings
    Settings can also be set on the connector by the administrator. Many settings can be locked by the administrator.
  • Remote wipe
    Administrator is able to wipe information synched to the device (email, contacts and calendar items).
  • Client status indication
    Client status is visible in S60 Active Idle screen.
  • Upgrades
    The connector can be upgraded by the administrator by accepting an update on the connector. Users can use the "Check for upgrades" function on the client and download and upgrade the client when wanted.
  • Improved firewall tunneling
    Connectors can connect in environments with advanced firewalls including proxies and SSL, no need to open extra firewall ports.
  • Configurable status and error notification
    Administrator can define various status notifications to be sent from the connector (service and client status reports).
  • Remote access to connector logs
    Connector logs can be remotely access by support for troubleshooting purposes (only if allowed by administrator).

    Full control over access to email data. Autolock can be enforced. Symbian email encryption.
